Meet the Artist
Chrissi Kino
Hi! I’m a 90’s baby that has been drawing and painting on and off since childhood. I dove into digital art in early 2021 and fell in love! After years of figuring out how I want to present my work through trial and error, emotional roller coasters, experiential ups & downs, I have grounded myself enough to muster the courage to share what’s inside my heart. Sincerely, thank you for making your way here.
This is a platform where I share what supports my mental health through art and practice; it reflects the ways in which I navigate life’s frustrations and overwhelm with curiosity, care, and personal growth.
Skull And Moss embodies the integration of my mind, body and soul, and I hope sharing my work supplements your life in beautiful, meaningful, incrementally transforming ways.

Find The Silver Linings
In the beginning, my way to cope with challenges was to “find the silver linings” in every situation I could. It seemed to work well for me and I don’t doubt that it did, but as I grow I find myself faced with the fear of being misunderstood to encourage bypassing. Thus, I’ve found new language to support these foundations I’ve built.
In the moment we experience something, we are forced to create quick meaning. This quick meaning is formed based on how we already are - how our minds work, what conclusions we’ve drawn from past experiences, our projections of what the future might be like.
Sometimes, in order to find the value of an experience, we must counterbalance the chaos of quick meaning-making with the peace of sitting in quiet to process.
To integrate something means to unite, to combine, to merge; and so, I aim to unify my skull (my mind) and my moss (my body).
“Find The Silver Linings,” to me, means to sit in peace and do my best to process my experiences, feel my emotions, and integrate these often conflicting pieces of me in a way that softly nudges me in a direction that my heart and mind agree on.
